The Winter Fellowship 2025 offers early-career professionals and those new to AI governance a unique three-month opportunity to delve into AI governance research. Fellows will work on independent projects, gain insights into the field, and connect with a global network of experts and practitioners. This fellowship is ideal for individuals eager to explore the long-term implications of advanced AI and contribute to shaping its future.
About the Fellowship
Participants will join GovAI in Oxford, UK, from January to April (precise dates TBC) and will receive a stipend of £9,000 plus travel support. Fellows will engage in independent research with mentorship from leading experts, participate in Q&A sessions, research seminars, and work-in-progress meetings, and have opportunities to publish their work. The program is particularly suited for those with interests in political science, public policy, history, economics, sociology, law, philosophy, and computer science, though candidates from all disciplines are welcome.

The deadline for applications is 23:59 BST on Sunday, August 11, 2024. The selection process includes a written submission, a remote work test, and an interview. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds, especially women, gender minorities, and people of color.
