The Global Climate Action Portal (NAZCA), hosted by the UNFCCC Secretariat, is a public platform that showcases climate action by a broad range of actors working to advance the goals of the Paris Agreement. It helps track and display the progress of non-state actors and cooperative initiatives committed to climate goals.
About the Portal
The NAZCA Portal brings together climate action data from:
- Cooperative Climate Initiatives (CCIs)
- Companies and investors
- Cities and subnational governments
- Sporting organizations and associations
It is important to note that all data presented on NAZCA is as reported by participating initiatives and data partners. Inclusion in the portal does not imply endorsement by the UNFCCC Secretariat.
How to Register a Cooperative Climate Initiative (CCI)
Organizations running Cooperative Climate Initiatives (CCIs) that align with the Paris Agreement can apply to be listed on NAZCA by submitting an Expression of Interest via email to:

Required Information in Your Submission:
- Name of the initiative and a link to its website or webpage
- Climate-related goal of the initiative, aligned with the Paris Agreement
- Brief description of how the initiative meets the eligibility and definition requirements
- Overview of how the initiative monitors progress, including relevant tools and capacity
- Contact details of the responsible focal point(s)
The UNFCCC team will conduct a preliminary review to assess eligibility. If aligned, they may request additional information.
