Designed for individuals passionate about governance, public policy, and democratic development, this programme equips participants with practical knowledge and exposure to Nigeria’s legislative system.

About the Internship Programme

The PLAC Legislative Internship Programme is an intensive learning experience that places interns directly within the National Assembly environment. Participants will engage with legislative processes, policy analysis, and governance frameworks while working alongside professionals in the field.

  • Location: Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
  • Duration: May 2026 – July 2026 (10 weeks, full-time)

Internship Benefits

Participants in the programme will:

  • Gain hands-on experience in legislative procedures and policymaking
  • Build valuable professional networks within government institutions
  • Develop critical skills in research, communication, and public policy
  • Enhance their career prospects in governance, law, and advocacy

Although the internship is unpaid, selected candidates will receive stipends to cover transportation and lunch expenses within Abuja.

  • Be a Nigerian citizen aged between 21 and 35 years
  • Hold at least a first degree in any discipline from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Programme

Important Logistics Information
