Fellowship Timing
The fellowship will run for 14 weeks, from September 2024 to December 2024.
What We Need
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player passionate about digital media and communications. This individual will contribute to our mission of creating a more equitable environmental movement by using digital platforms to raise awareness, engage communities, and drive positive change. The fellowship offers valuable experience in digital media content development, social media management, and executing communication strategies that resonate with diverse audiences.
Requirements
- Passion for digital media and communications.
- Experience in content creation for social media platforms (experience with social media management tools is a plus).
- Familiarity with Canva and email marketing tools like MailChimp or Constant Contact (experience with WordPress is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, coupled with solid project management and organizational abilities.
- Interest in media relations is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging content, including writing, photos, videos, and graphics, to support Green 2.0’s campaigns and programs.
- Develop digital media toolkits for events and campaigns.
- Manage Green 2.0’s blog and outreach efforts.
- Design and distribute email newsletters to keep supporters informed and engaged with our work.
- Conduct research on digital media trends and best practices to enhance our strategies.
- Assist in analytics reporting and campaign performance analysis.
- Represent Green 2.0 at conferences and workshops.
- Engage with environmental organizations, foundations, and other stakeholders.
Compensation
Fellows will receive an hourly rate of $25, working 15-20 hours per week. While hours are flexible, fellows are expected to distribute their work over at least three days per week.
