Step-by-Step Application Process

The International Foundation has designed a multi-stage selection process to ensure that only the most impactful and well-prepared projects receive funding.

Step 1: Information Session

Organizations are encouraged to attend the virtual webinar on April 8, 2026, which provides:

  • Overview of the grant program
  • Eligibility requirements
  • Application guidance

This session is highly recommended for first-time applicants.

Step 2: Eligibility Evaluation

The application process begins with an online eligibility evaluation, opening on April 15, 2026.

Organizations must:

  • Complete a short online form
  • Demonstrate alignment with eligibility criteria

If eligible, applicants will be invited to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI).

Important Note:
The portal will close either on April 29, 2026 or when 150 LOIs are submitted—whichever comes first. Early submission is critical.

Step 3: Letter of Inquiry (LOI)

The LOI is a short preliminary proposal submitted in a Q&A format, covering:

  • Overview of the organization
  • Description of the proposed project
  • Intended use of funds

LOIs are evaluated based on:

  • Alignment with the foundation’s priorities
  • Geographic focus
  • Potential impact

Applicants will be notified by May 7, 2026 if they are selected to proceed.

Step 4: Full Proposal Submission

Selected organizations will gain access to the Grant Application Portal, opening on May 8, 2026.

The full proposal requires:

  • Detailed project description
  • Expected outcomes and impact
  • Organizational capacity
  • Financial documentation

The submission deadline is June 1, 2026.

Step 5: Review and Final Decision

All applications are reviewed by:

  • The International Foundation’s Grants Committee
  • The Board of Directors for final approval

This ensures a rigorous and transparent selection process.

Grant Terms and Reporting Requirements

Organizations selected for funding must adhere to a structured reporting framework:

  • Submit a mid-term report by June 2027
  • Complete the project by December 31, 2027
  • Submit a final report by January 31, 2028

Important Conditions to Note

  • Only one application per organization is allowed per cycle
  • Organizations with previous funding must have fully completed prior grants before reapplying
  • Applications are highly competitive due to limited LOI slots

Why You Should Apply

The International Foundation Grant is an excellent opportunity for nonprofit organizations to:

  • Secure funding for impactful development projects
  • Scale existing initiatives
  • Strengthen organizational capacity
  • Gain recognition from an international funding body

With limited application slots and high demand, preparation and early submission are key to success.
