The WA Youth Engagement Grants Program is offering grants to local governments and community service organizations to fund projects that creatively engage young people (aged 10 to 25 years) and foster positive outcomes within the community.
Focus Areas for Funding:
- Equipping young people with foundational financial literacy skills such as how to budget.
- Providing tailored advice and guidance to achieve their career aspirations such as identifying post-school training.
- Developing “Work ready” skills to support in achieving and maintaining employment such as writing a resume.
- Supporting young people’s entrepreneurial aspirations by providing knowledge on starting and managing a small business.
- Building the confidence to navigate processes and procedures such as renting a home.
- Developing practical “life admin” skills such as learning how to drive and food preparation.
Grant Details:
- Amount: Up to $10,000
- Close Date: 26/09/2024

Funding Available:
- Grants of up to $5,000 are available for short-term, one-off activities or initiatives of up to six months’ duration,
- Grants of up to $10,000 for longer term, community-wide, strategic initiatives (6-12 months).
A PowerPoint presentation and FAQs will be available on the webpage within three working days post the briefing session from 22nd August.
