The Resilience Hub at COP29 is set to advance climate resilience with a new format focused on six key challenges, each addressed on a specific day. This approach builds on the success of previous Hubs.
The six challenges are:
1. Economic Disruption & Finance Gaps
2. Food & Water Insecurity
3. Nature-Positive Actions
4. Urban Resilience
5. Extreme Weather & Disaster Recovery
6. Cultural & Indigenous Knowledge
Each challenge will incorporate themes of Finance, Innovation, Radical Collaboration, and Gender and Equity.
To participate:
– Session Co-Hosts: Teams of 2-3 diverse organizations are required. Solo submissions will be paired with others.
– Attendance: At least 60% of speakers and one co-host must attend COP29 in person with a blue zone pass.
Please submit your interest by Thursday, September 5, 2024, indicating your preferred challenge and role (Co-Host or Speaker). Sessions will be hybrid, allowing for both in-person and virtual participation.
