What is ADEL?

The Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders (ADEL) is more than a leadership program. It is a launchpad for rising changemakers from the Atlantic Basin who are shaping the future through action, innovation, and dialogue.

The ADEL program, the flagship leadership initiative of the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS), will hold its 12th edition from December 7–11, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco. Since 2012, ADEL has brought together over 40 outstanding young professionals each year from across the Atlantic Basin for a fully funded, transformative week of leadership development.

Following the program, participants join the Atlantic Dialogues, a high-level annual conference held from December 11–13, 2025, engaging directly with global decision-makers and thought leaders from around the Atlantic Basin for open, informal discussion on cross-regional issues.

The Call for Applications will be open from Wednesday, May 6th, to Sunday, June 15th, 2025.

Who Can Apply?

We are seeking passionate young professionals who are:

  • Aged 25-35 years old (as of May 7th, 2025)
  • Citizens or residents of countries in the Atlantic Basin (Africa, North/Central/South America, Europe, or the Caribbean)
  • Fluent in English
  • Available for the full period (December 7–13, 2025)
  • Demonstrating leadership potential and a strong professional track record
  • Committed to creating impact in their communities and fields (public, private, civil society…)
  • Eager to engage across cultures and contribute to the Emerging Leaders and Atlantic Dialogues networks.

Why Apply?

This unique opportunity offers an enriching experience, combining:

  • Fully Funded Participation: Round-trip economy airfare, hotel accommodation, local transportation in Morocco, and meals throughout the program and conference
  • Tailored leadership training and interactive workshops
  • Exposure to global policy discussions through full participation in the Atlantic Dialogues conference
  • Networking with senior leaders, experts, and peers from diverse sectors and regions
  • Opportunities for collaboration and visibility within the ADEL and PCNS communities
  • A lifelong alumni network and community committed to bring about lasting social change, create impact and change narratives.
