What is the NYCC Climate Champions Fellowship?
The NYCC Climate Champions Fellowship is a transformative initiative designed to support and equip young changemakers with the tools, mentorship, and resources needed to address climate challenges at the grassroots level.
Led by Bring Back Green Foundation and supported by UNICEF YuWaah, the program emphasizes youth-led action and collaboration with government and local stakeholders for sustainable impact.
Over the past two years, the fellowship has:
- Trained 62 Climate Champions
- Covered 33 States & Union Territories in India
- Built strong local partnerships
- Enabled fellows to represent their work at national and international platforms

Selection Process
The fellowship follows a three-stage selection process:
Stage 1: Application Screening

Stage 3: Virtual Interview
