The trainee will play a key role in supporting programmes such as Coding for Kids (C4K), coding competitions, mentorship initiatives, and broader community outreach efforts. This position blends programme management, stakeholder engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and communications—making it ideal for individuals seeking a well-rounded early-career experience.

Job Description

As a National Service Trainee, you will support the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of community-based digital skills programmes. You will collaborate with schools, volunteers, partners, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery and measurable impact.

This role provides a unique opportunity to build experience in programme coordination, communications, stakeholder engagement, and event management, all while contributing to meaningful social impact initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Coordination & Implementation

You will assist in organizing and executing community development initiatives aimed at improving digital literacy and skills among young learners. This includes coordinating with partner schools, managing programme schedules, and supporting logistics for events such as coding competitions, exhibitions, bootcamps, and outreach programmes.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

The role involves collecting and compiling programme data, including attendance records, assessments, and participant feedback. You will support the preparation of reports and impact summaries, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and document success stories that highlight programme achievements.

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

You will help maintain strong relationships with schools, teachers, parents, volunteers, and partners. Responsibilities include assisting with onboarding processes, preparing presentations and partnership materials, and supporting outreach to potential donors and sponsors.

Communications & Content Support

The trainee will contribute to communication efforts by drafting social media content, documenting programme activities through photos and reports, and supporting newsletters and CSR updates. This helps amplify the impact and visibility of the programmes.

Administrative Support

You will assist with documentation management, meeting coordination, and logistical arrangements for field visits and programme activities. This ensures smooth day-to-day operations and effective team collaboration.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Be eligible to undertake National Service in Ghana

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
