Established by the German government following the World Refugee Forum 2023, the GER-RAB is a platform designed to incorporate refugee perspectives into Germany’s national and international refugee policies.
About GER-RAB
The GER-RAB consists of up to 12 representatives with personal experience of displacement. The Board’s primary goal is to ensure that refugees’ interests and insights shape Germany’s approach to regional and international refugee issues. Board members will have the opportunity to influence policies and contribute to strategic discussions on forced migration.
Board members are appointed for a two-year term, during which they will receive an expense allowance and appropriate training and support. The Board’s work is supported by a secretariat housed at the Bonn International Center for Conversion (BICC) and funded by the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
