At L’Oréal, innovation has always been at the heart of our purpose. Now, we are taking a bold step forward to align that innovation with sustainability, through the launch of our Sustainable Innovation Accelerator Program.

Endowed with €100 million over 5 years, this global initiative aims to identify, pilot, and scale breakthrough solutions that support the sustainable transformation of the beauty industry.

Our Mission

The challenges we face today—climate change, resource scarcity, plastic waste, and water stress—demand urgent and collaborative innovation. Our accelerator will act as a launchpad for high-impact solutions, enabling a more responsible and resilient beauty ecosystem.

We are committed to supporting startups, SMEs, and innovative companies offering ready-to-pilot solutions in the following key areas:

Low-carbon and climate-positive technologies
Alternative and sustainable ingredients
Eliminating fossil-based plastics and reducing plastic waste
Low-impact manufacturing and processing methods
Water resilience and circular water solutions
Nature-based solutions and biodiversity regeneration
Inclusive and circular business models

A Strategic Partnership for Impact

In partnership with the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), our accelerator will not only scout and evaluate promising innovations—it will actively support and scale them through tailored pilots, expert mentorship, and integration opportunities within L’Oréal’s global ecosystem.
