The Harvard Women Engineers Code (WECode) Conference is excited to announce its annual college women in technology conference, set to take place on February 15-16, 2025 at Harvard University.

We invite all current post-secondary students who identify as women or non-binary and have a demonstrated interest in technology to apply for our Technology Fellowship!

What is WECode?

The WECode Conference is the largest student-run conference for women engineers globally, attracting over 900 attendees annually. Organized by a dedicated team of Harvard undergraduate women in technology, the conference offers a platform for networking and learning about exciting opportunities in the tech field.

What is the WECode Tech Fellow Program?

The WECode Tech Fellow Program offers an opportunity to become a leader in the women in tech space. Tech Fellows will collaborate with the Harvard student team to publicize the WECode Conference through personal social media, digital communities, networks, and local outreach. They will gain invaluable leadership experience and enjoy several exclusive perks, including:

  • A free ticket to the in-person conference.
  • Networking opportunities with industry leaders and peers.
  • Access to community resources and exclusive events.

To ensure a thorough application process, there are three portions to the application:

  1. Mandatory application for WECode Technology Fellows.
  2. Mandatory committee selection (Professional Development, Digital Media, and Peer Engagement).
  3. Optional application for a leadership role as a lead fellow for one of the committees.

Short Answer Questions

Applicants will need to respond to the following questions (max 250 words each):

  1. What experience do you have in technology? What excites you about learning it?
  2. Why do you want to be a WECode Tech Fellow? What will you contribute?
  3. If chosen, how will you publicize WECode?
  4. What skills or qualities make you a strong candidate for your top role choice?

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility criteria include:

  • Current undergraduate students identifying as women, non-binary, genderfluid, or other gender minorities.
  • A demonstrated interest in technology (all experience levels welcome!).

Your Responsibilities

All Fellows will act as ambassadors by:

  • Gathering a minimum of five students to attend the conference.
  • Conducting outreach to CS departments for group ticket discounts.

Lead Fellows will manage one of three committees and spearhead community engagement and initiatives.
