About the Role

The selected Junior Professional Officer will work under WHO’s Division of Health Systems and contribute to advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) across the life course.

The role includes a strong focus on:

  • Maternal and newborn health outcomes
  • Adolescent sexual and reproductive health
  • Quality of care in health facilities
  • Evidence-based health policies
  • Monitoring and evaluation systems
  • Country support and implementation strategies
  • Partnerships with UN agencies and international stakeholders

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • Doctor of Medicine, Master’s degree in Public Health, or related field

  • 4 years for Bachelor’s degree applicants

Language

  • Excellent written and spoken English

Age

  • Maximum 32 years old by 31 December of the application year

  • Limited UN experience (maximum 1 year)
  • National of an eligible country
  • Academic studies partly completed in an eligible developing country
