Purpose of the Call for Proposals in Palestine

This Call for Proposals aims to support local organizations that are directly engaged with women and young women affected by displacement and conflict in Palestine. The funding is specifically structured to promote inclusive recovery efforts, enhance political participation, and strengthen leadership roles for women in peacebuilding processes.

Projects under this initiative should demonstrate a clear alignment with the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, with a strong focus on forcibly displaced populations. These include internally displaced persons, refugees, returnees, and asylum seekers.

Funding Streams Available

The WPHF is offering two distinct funding streams under this Call:

1. Institutional Funding (USD 2,500 – USD 50,000)

This funding stream is aimed at strengthening the institutional capacity of women’s rights and women-led organizations. The goal is to ensure organizational sustainability, operational efficiency, and increased impact in advancing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Palestine.

Organizations may use this funding to improve governance systems, financial management capacity, strategic planning, human resource development, and operational infrastructure. The objective is to empower organizations to remain resilient and effective in complex humanitarian and post-conflict environments.

2. Programmatic Funding (USD 50,000 – USD 200,000)

This funding stream supports the implementation of programmatic interventions that address socio-economic recovery and political participation of women and young women in peacebuilding contexts.

Projects funded under this category must focus specifically on forcibly displaced women and young women in Palestine, including internally displaced populations, refugees, returnees, and asylum seekers. These projects will be part of the Funding Initiative on Forced Displacement.

Eligible interventions may include livelihood support programs, leadership and advocacy training, psychosocial support services, community peacebuilding initiatives, and capacity-building programs that enhance women’s participation in decision-making processes.

Important Application Guidelines

Organizations are strongly advised to note that they can only apply once per funding stream. This means an organization may submit one application for institutional funding and/or one application for programmatic funding. However, if applying for both streams, two separate application packages must be submitted, each following the specific requirements and templates provided.

All applications must be submitted online through the official application platform, including the completed proposal template and organizational registration certificate.

Deadline for Submission

The deadline for submission of all proposals is 21 June 2026 at 11:59 PM (Geneva CET). Late submissions will not be considered under any circumstances.

Information Session

An online information session will be held for prospective applicants on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM (Jerusalem time). Interested applicants are encouraged to participate in this session to gain clarity on eligibility requirements, application procedures, and funding priorities.
