- Each pilot should have a duration of 1–5 months according to the needs of the Piloting Group and the Client in question.
- The Supplier must carry out the pilot in compliance with ethical principles and applicable EU, international and national law, including the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and its Supplementary Protocols.
- Companies outside the EU can apply, but they are not eligible for any funding. Therefore, they need sufficient self-financing in order to cover the costs.
- There is a limit of one application per challenge but the same organisation can submit applications for all individual challenges.

- Deadline: All applications must be submitted by October 31st, 2024 at 17:00 CET.
- Language: Applications must be in English, but the level of English is not evaluated. Use translation tools if needed.
- Technology Focus: CommuniCity is looking for new, innovative solutions that have not been fully developed or commercialized.
- Specific Requirements: Read the city-specific challenges carefully before applying. Some challenges may require additional documents like a Letter of Intent.
- There are 54 challenges presented, all of which are open to all eligible applicants.
Funding
- Grants Available: Over 60 grants of up to €12,500 are available for selected pilot teams to develop their solutions and conduct real-life experiments.
Partnership
- To foster collaboration, the CommuniCity Consortium has set up a dedicated CommuniCity Matchmaking Platform, allowing tech providers, residents, companies, and organisations to find partners.
