The Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) is a transformative opportunity for individuals dedicated to fostering diversity, peace, and justice. With over 20 years of experience, APLP connects a global network of leaders to enhance their effectiveness through experiential, place-based learning. Fellows explore leadership concepts and develop strategies to address challenges in various contexts.

For 2025, the program is structured as follows:

Pre-residency Virtual Connection (May 15-July 1, 2025): Fellows engage in online discussions and activities, laying the groundwork for understanding and addressing leadership challenges. This phase allows for full-time employment while meeting program requirements.

Residency in Hawai’i (July 2-August 8, 2025): Fellows participate in an immersive, full-time experience in Honolulu, living on campus and working closely with peers and community partners. This phase includes a one-week field study on Hawai’i Island and requires a full-time commitment, including evenings and weekends.

Post-residency Virtual Connection (August 9-December 5, 2025): Monthly virtual meetings allow fellows to reflect on their experiences and integrate leadership insights into their personal and professional lives. Full-time employment may resume during this phase, with all deliverables needed for program completion.

Southeast Asia Symposium (February 1-7, 2026): By invitation, this symposium provides a platform for selected fellows to further collaborate on regional leadership initiatives.

Applications are due by November 1, 2024, with letters of reference required by November 8, 2024. Eligibility includes a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of work experience, and a demonstrated commitment to the Indo-Asia Pacific region. Desired qualifications include a proven leadership track record and international experience.
