The UNESCO Youth Forum in Kenya is calling for motivated and passionate young leaders to join its volunteer team for the 2024/2025 cohort. This platform is dedicated to giving Kenyan youth a voice in shaping national and international policies, aligning their efforts with UNESCO’s strategic vision and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
By joining the Forum, volunteers will have the opportunity to work closely with youth-serving organizations, networks, and partners to promote civic engagement, democratic participation, and social innovation. The forum also offers a space for like-minded individuals to come together, share ideas, and work towards building a sustainable, equitable, and just society.
Who Can Apply?
The call for volunteers is open to all Kenyan youth aged 18-30 who meet the following criteria:
– Must be highly motivated, responsible, and show integrity.
– Be capable of both individual work and functioning as a reliable team player.
– Have experience in community-based projects, individual initiatives, or work with non-governmental organizations.
– Be flexible and ready to perform tasks and attend meetings on behalf of the Youth Forum.
– Have knowledge of UNESCO, KNATCOM, and the UNESCO Youth Forum Kenya’s thematic areas.
– Represent an active youth-led organization or network.
– Applications from underrepresented groups are highly encouraged.
