In response to the growing need for sustainable and resilient economic development, Malaysia has introduced a pioneering initiative: MyClimate FinHub. This ecosystem platform is the first of its kind in the country, designed to support Climate Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by connecting them with critical climate finance opportunities, expert mentorship, and collaborative networks.
What is MyClimate FinHub?
MyClimate FinHub is a dynamic and inclusive ecosystem built to catalyze Malaysia’s climate economy by providing targeted support to Climate MSMEs. These are enterprises involved in delivering climate goods and services, whether through mitigation—reducing greenhouse gas emissions—or adaptation—adjusting to the effects of climate change.
With the backing of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei Darussalam, and sponsored by the Climate Finance Network (CFN) and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), MyClimate FinHub serves as a bridge between small enterprises and the financial and professional resources they need to thrive in the green economy.
Who Can Apply?
MyClimate FinHub is open to all Malaysian-based MSMEs engaged in climate-related sectors. These include:
-
Sustainable Food
-
Clean Energy
-
Resource Efficiency
-
Circular Economy
-
Green Cities
-
Natural Capital
-
Climate Finance
-
Other environmental innovations
To be eligible, MSMEs must operate within the Malaysian definitions: up to RM50 million turnover or 200 employees for manufacturing, and up to RM20 million turnover or 75 employees for other sectors. Listed companies and subsidiaries of multinational corporations, GLCs, MKDs, and state-owned enterprises are excluded.

The Importance of Climate MSMEs
Climate MSMEs play a critical role in Malaysia’s path toward a low-carbon, resilient future. From developing clean energy solutions to implementing nature-based climate adaptations, small businesses are often the engines of innovation and local action.
As climate challenges intensify—from flooding to heatwaves and resource scarcity—there is increasing demand for local solutions tailored to Malaysia’s unique environmental and socio-economic context. MyClimate FinHub recognizes this and seeks to elevate these homegrown solutions by enhancing the capacity and visibility of Climate MSMEs.
Strategic Implementation and Partnerships
MyClimate FinHub is a collaborative initiative implemented by:
-
UNDP Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei Darussalam: Focused on inclusive growth, climate resilience, and digital transformation aligned with the SDGs.
-
Climate Finance Network (CFN): Working to strengthen climate finance effectiveness through multi-stakeholder engagement.
-
