China has officially opened applications for the Global Research Internship Program for Young Scientists (GRIPS), an international initiative designed to attract talented undergraduate and graduate researchers from around the world. This prestigious program offers young scientists the chance to gain hands-on research experience at some of China’s most elite universities while collaborating with leading international researchers.
The GRIPS program is coordinated in partnership with top Chinese institutions and supported by academic and cultural relations offices, including the Graduate Studies, Research, and Cultural Relations Sector of Mansoura University, Egypt. It represents an excellent opportunity for students and early-career researchers seeking global exposure, research mentorship, and academic growth.
About the GRIPS Program
The Global Research Internship Program for Young Scientists (GRIPS) is a two-month international research internship hosted by leading Chinese universities. The program aims to foster global scientific collaboration by bringing together outstanding students and graduates to work on cutting-edge research projects under the supervision of experienced Principal Investigators (PIs).
For the 2026 intake, the program is offering 100 fully supported internship opportunities, making it one of the most competitive and valuable short-term research programs available to young scientists worldwide.
Participating Universities
Selected participants will conduct their research at one of the following top-ranked Chinese universities:
- Nanjing University
- Zhejiang University
- University of Science and Technology of China (USTC)
- Fudan University
These institutions are globally recognized for excellence in science, medicine, engineering, and interdisciplinary research.
