The Catalytic Climate Finance Facility (CC Facility) is committed to supporting innovative blended finance structures aimed at enhancing climate action in developing economies. By addressing critical barriers to climate finance, this initiative mobilizes private capital and fosters sustainable development. Interested applicants are invited to participate in a structured application process, which includes submitting a Concept Note and potentially advancing to a full proposal.
How It Works
The application process consists of three key stages:
- Screening:
- Submit a Concept Note form and optional supplemental materials by the deadline.
- Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application for funding and acceleration support.
- Evaluation:
- Shortlisted candidates will participate in a closed-door virtual pitch day.
- Finalists will undergo comprehensive due diligence, including stakeholder interviews and funding assessments.
- Recommendation:
- Finalists will be recommended to the Investment Committee for approval, requiring final management and board sign-off.
Funding Provided
The CC Facility offers grant funding and acceleration support designed to accelerate the launch and scaling of blended finance structures targeting climate action:
- Grant Funding: Performance-driven funding is contingent upon achieving specific milestones and deliverables aimed at overcoming barriers to private capital mobilization. This initiative is offering up to $500,000 in grant funding, customized technical assistance, and access to the Learning Hub for knowledge-sharing.
- Acceleration Support: Customized technical assistance for 12-18 months focuses on strategy, fundraising, and operational support, ensuring structures are well-equipped for market implementation.

- Selected blended finance structures will receive support for up to 18 months. The pace of support will vary depending on individual grantee needs and their intended launch timelines.
- The deadline for submitting the Concept Note is October 24. Ensure all materials are submitted on time to be considered for this opportunity.

- Potential to mobilize private capital and attract new investors.
