Its German arm, Street Child Germany e.V., plays a critical role in mobilizing resources and partnerships to support this mission.The German team is small but highly mission-driven, working collaboratively to deliver measurable impact.
Role Overview: Country Manager Germany
Location: Remote within Germany (Munich area preferred)
Start Date: 01 May 2026
Workload: 80–100%
As Country Manager, you will lead the organization’s strategy, fundraising, operations, and growth in Germany. Reporting directly to the Board, you will collaborate with international partners to scale impact and drive sustainable funding.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Represent and position the organization as a trusted non-profit in Germany
- Drive visibility, partnerships, and growth opportunities
- Collaborate with the Board on strategy, governance, and risk
Fundraising & Partnerships
- Develop and execute Germany’s fundraising strategy
- Lead grant applications and donor reporting
- Build relationships with foundations, corporates, and philanthropists
Operations & Team Management
- Oversee finance, HR, administration, and compliance
- Manage and support the fundraising team
- Coordinate with the international network
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements
- Must reside in Germany (travel to Munich required if remote)
- Strong alignment with the organization’s mission
- Native-level German and strong English proficiency
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a small team environment
Highly Desirable
- Experience in German fundraising (foundations, corporates, philanthropists)
- Knowledge of institutional donors (BMZ, EU, Auswärtiges Amt)
- Familiarity with German non-profit law and governance
