Designed to uncover and support promising early-stage cleantech startups, it empowers aspiring entrepreneurs who want to tackle climate change through innovation. Whether your idea focuses on renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, urban mobility, or circular economies, this competition could be your gateway to global impact and success.

ClimateLaunchpad is more than a competition—it’s a launchpad for turning green ideas into profitable businesses. With coaching, mentoring, international exposure, and a chance to pitch on the world stage, participants are equipped to transform environmental challenges into viable solutions.

Opportunity Details

What it is:

A global green business ideas competition that helps early-stage startups and aspiring entrepreneurs develop and pitch innovative clean-tech and sustainability-focused solutions.

Who it’s for:

– Individuals or teams with a green business idea
– Entrepreneurs in the early stages of their startup (less than two years old)
– Innovators with little to no revenue and not more than €200,000 in investment

Competition structure:

– Mini-course: All applicants start with a preparatory mini-course.
– Boot Camp: Selected teams join a multi-day digital boot camp with expert trainers.
– Intensive Coaching + National Finals: Teams receive coaching and then pitch at their national finals.
– Regional Finals: Top national teams pitch online in regional finals.
– Global Grand Final (Vienna, Austria): Regional winners pitch live before a panel of global experts.

Key dates and timeline:

– Online Course & Boot Camps: May – July 2025
– National Finals: July 2025
– Regional Finals (online): August – September 2025
– Global Grand Final (physical in Vienna): October 23 – November 7, 2025

Eligibility criteria:

– You have not yet started a business or started it less than two years ago
– You have minimal revenue
– You have attracted no more than €200,000 in investment
