About the Award:
The Improving Research Community Builder Award aims to support early-career Pre-PhDs, PhDs, and Postdoctoral Researchers in hosting local events that focus on enhancing research practices and culture at their universities.
Details:
- Approximately 20-25 awards will be funded
- with each recipient able to apply for between £200-£800 of support.
- In addition to the financial award, recipients will also receive an extra £150 as a token of appreciation for their efforts in organizing the events.
- Award announcements will be made in the month following the application deadline.
Eligibility:
- Researchers from any academic discipline or area of study
- Based at Higher Education institutions in the United Kingdom
Evaluation Criteria:
- Clarity of objectives
- Feasibility of the event plan
- Potential impact on research community building
- Alignment with the award’s goals
Application:
There are two deadlines to apply for this award:
- Deadline 1: 10 September 2024
- Deadline 2: 14 January 2025
Apply for this Award.
Post-event applications will not be considered, and the first event hosted should take place within 3 months of receiving the award. After the event, a summary of approximately 500 words and a photo must be submitted to dmh-group@mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk within 30 days of the event’s conclusion.
