1. Serve a Charitable Purpose

2. Long-Term Commitment to Tree Care
Recipients must commit to maintaining the orchard permanently and using it to support their charitable goals.
3. Suitable Planting Site

The FTPF application helps assess whether your site is suitable.
4. Land Ownership or Long-Term Access
Applicants must either:
- Own the planting site
- Have a long-term lease
- Partner with a nonprofit or government entity that owns the site with a long-term usage agreement
5. Reliable Irrigation Access
The orchard site must have a dependable year-round water source nearby.

Why This Opportunity Matters
An FTPF orchard is more than a tree donation—it is a long-term investment in food security, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment.
Whether you manage a school, a nonprofit, or a public community space, this opportunity can create lasting impact for generations to come.
If your organization is ready to grow fresh food, engage volunteers, and improve your local environment, now is the perfect time to apply for an FTPF orchard.
Application Deadline
There is no fixed deadline for FTPF orchard applications.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, meaning organizations can apply at any time.
However, FTPF notes that their schedule is currently near capacity, so response times may be slow. Applicants should be patient, as worthy projects are often considered when suitable opportunities arise.
Once submitted:
- You will receive an acknowledgment letter
- Your application remains permanently in FTPF’s database
- There is no need to reapply if you do not hear back immediately
