What Is the Shift the Power Fund?
The Shift the Power Fund is a global funding initiative that centers equity, participation, and impact. Its goal is to shift resources, decision-making power, and leadership directly into the hands of refugee and displaced youth aged 15 to 30. By investing in locally rooted, community-driven initiatives, the fund supports grassroots innovation and sustainable development led by those who understand the issues best — the youth who experience them.

- Strengthen refugee youth-led organizations

- Promote participatory leadership and power-shifting
- Drive policy influence through evidence-based activism
Who Can Apply?
Eligible projects must be:
- Led and delivered by young refugees aged 15–30
- Community-rooted and impact-driven
- Aligned with the goal of promoting youth participation in policy processes
Projects may address a variety of urgent global issues, including:
- Education
- Healthcare
- Livelihoods
- Gender Equality
- Mental Health
- Community Integration
- Environmental Sustainability
- Peacebuilding and Advocacy
Successful applicants will showcase an authentic commitment to shifting systems and structures, while promoting long-term community resilience.

Emphasis on Authenticity – No AI-Generated Applications
To ensure fairness and authenticity, GRYN strongly discourages the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in application writing. Projects found to use AI may be disqualified. Applicants are urged to express their genuine voices, ideas, and community experiences.
Data Privacy & Protection
GRYN adheres to rigorous data protection standards, ensuring that all personal and organizational data is:
- Used solely for application and selection purposes
- Stored securely and accessed only by authorized GRYN staff
- Available for review, correction, or deletion upon request
