  • Academic and Professional Background Should be a mid-career professional
  • Must typically hold a doctoral degree if applying for research at a university
  • Invitation Requirement Must have a formal written invitation from a UK institution or organisation
  • Previous Study Restrictions Applicants who have studied in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Europe, or China within the last 5 years are not eligible
  • Previous recipients of Charles Wallace awards are not eligible
  • Application Integrity Use of AI tools for drafting or editing application statements is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification
