In every immigrant’s journey, there are moments shaped by the kindness of others—someone who offered guidance, support, or simply made a new place feel like home. In Ottawa, those acts of kindness are being celebrated once again through the 2026 Welcoming Ottawa Ambassadors Award.

Who Can Nominate?
Nominations must be submitted by immigrants or refugees who have personally experienced the support of the individual they are nominating. There is no time limit—whether your arrival in Ottawa was recent or many years ago, you are encouraged to share your story.
How to Submit a Nomination
To participate:
- Review the qualities that define a Welcoming Ottawa Ambassador.
- Complete the nomination form online.
- Share your story and highlight the impact this individual had on your journey.
