Through its Clinical Education Grants, Neurotorium aims to expand access to cutting-edge knowledge and improve healthcare delivery in psychiatry and neurology.

 

Purpose of the Grant

The Neurotorium Clinical Education Grants are designed to:

  • Support non-profit educational projects for healthcare professionals
  • Strengthen clinical skills in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders
  • Promote the use of Neurotorium’s educational resources in teaching and training
  • Encourage global collaboration and innovation, especially in underserved and low-income regions

 

Eligible Projects

To qualify for funding, proposed projects must meet the following criteria:

1. Educational Focus

  • Activities must be at vocational or university level
  • Must target healthcare professionals (e.g., clinicians, nurses, general practitioners, residents)

2. Subject Relevance

Projects should aim to improve understanding of:

  • Prevention, diagnosis, and/or treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders
  • Personal and societal impacts of these conditions

3. Use of Neurotorium Resources

  • Projects must integrate Neurotorium materials partially or fully

4. Non-Profit Requirement

  • All initiatives must be strictly non-commercial

5. Institutional Support

  • Must be anchored in an established organization, such as:
    • Universities
    • Hospitals
    • Clinics
    • NGOs
  • A letter of support is mandatory

6. Duration and Timeline

  • Projects can run for 1 to 3 years
  • Must begin no earlier than February 2027

 

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must:

  • Have relevant professional experience in the proposed field
  • Demonstrate the capacity to execute the project successfully
  • Submit only one application per year as the main applicant

There are no geographical restrictions, making this a truly global opportunity.

 

Funding Details

  • Up to 100,000 DKK (~$15,000 USD) per year
  • Funding duration: 1 to 3 years
  • Covers direct project costs only
  • Funds cannot be transferred between years
  • Partial funding is allowed only if other funding sources are secured

3. Feasibility

  • Applicant’s expertise
  • Strength of partnerships
  • Availability of infrastructure

4. Integration of Neurotorium

  • Clear and meaningful use of platform resources

 

Timeline

  • Application Deadline: September 2nd, 2026
  • Grant Decision: December 2026
  • Project Start Date: From February 2027

 

Grant Conditions

Successful applicants must:

  • Accept the Lundbeck Foundation’s General Terms and Conditions
  • Ensure funds are managed through a non-commercial organization

Since 2024, Neurotorium has funded:

  • 18 projects across 17 countries
  • Initiatives ranging from workshops and training sessions to online and hybrid learning programs
  • Projects targeting diverse healthcare providers, including:
