Applications are now open for the Mastercard Foundation Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) Scholarships 2026–2027 at the University of Toronto in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation.
This fully funded scholarship program is designed to support outstanding African scholars to pursue a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree and develop into transformative leaders in public health, health systems strengthening, and data-driven health research.
The initiative is aimed at equipping scholars with the expertise and leadership skills needed to return to Africa and drive impactful change in healthcare systems and public health policy across the continent.
About the Scholarship Program
The DrPH scholarship provides comprehensive financial support and academic development opportunities to selected candidates. The program emphasizes leadership, evidence-based practice, and practical solutions to public health challenges in Africa.
Only up to three scholarships will be awarded for the 2026–2027 academic cycle, making this a highly competitive opportunity.

To remain eligible, applicants must attend a mandatory virtual information session. Failure to participate in this session may disqualify an applicant from consideration.
