Microsoft Research New York City (MSR NYC) is seeking passionate and talented Research Interns to join their Machine Learning group. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate on research projects in ML, AI, RL, and robot learning.

Qualifications

Required:

• Enrollment in a PhD program relevant to AI, ML, or RL.
• Commitment to working onsite at the assigned Microsoft location during the internship.

Preferred:

• Experience with theoretical or empirical research in ML, deep learning, RL, or large language models.
• Strong publication record in top research venues.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across groups and cultures.
• Creative and unconventional problem-solving skills.

Compensation

• Base Pay Range:
  • $6,550–$12,880/month (standard locations).
  • $8,480–$13,920/month (San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area).
