  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of one of the Member States participating in the EDA.
  • Education: Candidates must have completed at least a three-year cycle of higher education (university degree or equivalent) by the application deadline.
  • Languages: A strong command of at least two languages from participating Member States, including English, is required.
  • Relevant Background: The applicant’s academic or professional background must align with the activities of the Directorate/Unit for which they apply.
  • Personnel Security Clearance Certificate (PSCC): A clearance may be required for specific roles.
  • Previous Experience: Candidates who have previously completed a paid or unpaid traineeship exceeding six weeks in another European institution or body are not eligible.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the traineeship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of one of the Member States participating in the EDA.
  • Education: Candidates must have completed at least a three-year cycle of higher education (university degree or equivalent) by the application deadline.
  • Languages: A strong command of at least two languages from participating Member States, including English, is required.

Traineeship Details

  • Start Date: September 2025 (beginning either on the 1st or 16th of the month).
  • Duration: 12 months, non-renewable.
  • Allowance: Monthly stipend of €1,500
  • Meal Allowance: Fixed monthly amount.
  • Support for Disabled Trainees: Additional financial support, up to 50% of the allowance, may be granted to cover extra costs related to disabilities.
  • Insurance: Health and accident insurance is mandatory.
