Join the Youth Action Forum (YAF) 2024: Shape the Future with Your Leadership (Indonesia)

United in Diversity (UID) is a non-profit organization founded in 2003 with a mission to facilitate leaders across three sectors in creating and implementing Sustainable-oriented Solutions (SOS). UID has organized numerous capacity-building programs on various topics and currently supports over 1,300 fellows. In 2013, UID was appointed as the Southeast Asia secretariat for the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UNSDSN) and has been active in localizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) launched in September 2015.

Description of the Youth Action Forum (YAF):

UID, in collaboration with SDSN Southeast Asia, is organizing the Youth Action Forum (YAF) from October 19 to January 15. YAF is a platform designed to enhance youth leadership capacity for social transformation. The forum offers opportunities to learn and experiment with social innovations aimed at improving quality of life inclusively, while preserving nature’s sustainability.

The program will provide young Indonesians with 21st-century leadership skills and foster intergenerational conversations to align views, synergize efforts, and achieve meaningful social impact. YAF also aims to build a network of young leaders from diverse backgrounds, encouraging them to share ideas, experiences, and solutions for the SDGs. The program promotes collaboration among young people to effectively work towards these global goals.

Criteria:

• Aged between 16-30 years old
• Concerned about social, ecological, and spiritual challenges
• Represent various sectors (government, business, NGOs, media, academia, creative industries)
• Demonstrate strong determination and commitment to societal change and social innovation
