The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is inviting applications for its Supply Chain Internship Roster 2026, based at the Supply Chain Management Unit (SCMU) in Copenhagen, Denmark. This opportunity places interns at the heart of the world’s largest public-sector procurement system for sexual and reproductive health (SRH) supplies—supporting life-saving programmes across development and humanitarian contexts. UNFPA’s supply chain plays a critical role in ensuring equitable access to affordable, quality-assured SRH products worldwide. About UNFPA’s Supply Chain Management Unit (SCMU)

UNFPA is the lead UN agency for procuring SRH supplies and the largest global public-sector buyer of contraceptives. The SCMU, operational since 2022, provides coordination, oversight, and innovation across all UNFPA supply chain activities.

Its work spans:

• Delivering SRH supplies in development and humanitarian settings

• Strengthening last-mile assurance and accountability

Supply Chain Internship Roster 2026: Overview

The Supply Chain Internship Roster 2026 offers full-time, on-site internships at UN City, Copenhagen. Selected candidates will be placed in functional streams aligned with SCMU’s operational needs and strategic priorities.

Internship streams include:

• Human Resources

• Information & Communications Technology (ICT)

• Administration & Business

Interns must be logistically and financially prepared to work full-time on site in Copenhagen for the duration of the internship.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following educational conditions:

• Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree programme and have completed at least one academic year

• Be enrolled in a postgraduate (Master’s or higher) programme

• Be a recent graduate (must start the internship within one year of graduation)

• Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional trainee programme

Additional requirements:

• Demonstrated interest in development and humanitarian work

• Proficiency in English or French, and fluency in one UNFPA official language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish)

• Ability to work in diverse, multicultural environments

Note: Immediate family members of UNFPA staff are not eligible.
