  5. 5Funding Application: Upon receiving an admission offer, you’ll have the opportunity to access the Funding Application. You will have two weeks to apply for scholarships after receiving your admission.
  6. 6Personal Statement: For the Digital Governance Scholarship, you will need to submit a one-page personal statement. This should detail your interest in digitalisation and demonstrate how your studies at the Hertie School can further your goals in this area.

About the Hertie School

The Hertie School is a private university based in Berlin, accredited by the state and the German Science Council. It prepares exceptional students for leadership positions in government, business and civil society. Interdisciplinary and practice-oriented teaching, first-class research and an extensive international network set the Hertie School apart and position it as an ambassador of good governance, characterised by public debate and engagement.

About the Scholarship

  • Program Available: Master of Public Policy (MPP)
  • Eligibility: Open to applicants from all nationalities
  • Scholarship Value: Two full scholarships worth €37,500 each

How to Apply

  1. Submit Your Application: First, apply for admission to the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program.

    • Application Deadlines:
      • Early Bird: December 1
      • Priority Deadlines:
        • Non-EU/EEA: January 15
        • EU/EEA: February 15
    •  It is recommended to apply as early as possible.
  2. Funding Application: Upon receiving an admission offer, you’ll have the opportunity to access the Funding Application.

Note: You can only apply for scholarships after being admitted to a program and may apply for only one full scholarship per year.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview with a faculty member. This is an essential step in the evaluation process and provides an opportunity for candidates to further showcase their passion and suitability for the scholarship.
