  • Demonstrated interest in development and humanitarian work
  • Proficiency in English or French, and fluency in one UNFPA official language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish)
  • Ability to work in diverse, multicultural environments

About UNFPA’s Supply Chain Management Unit (SCMU)

UNFPA is the lead UN agency for procuring SRH supplies and the largest global public-sector buyer of contraceptives. The SCMU, operational since 2022, provides coordination, oversight, and innovation across all UNFPA supply chain activities.

Its work spans:

  • Delivering SRH supplies in development and humanitarian settings

  • Ensuring safe, effective, and quality-assured products

  • Promoting sustainable procurement

  • Strengthening last-mile assurance and accountability

Through this system, UNFPA supports governments, NGOs, and partners in more than 130 countries, advancing gender equality, women’s empowerment, and poverty reduction through access to family planning and reproductive health services.

Supply Chain Internship Roster 2026: Overview

The Supply Chain Internship Roster 2026 offers full-time, on-site internships at UN City, Copenhagen. Selected candidates will be placed in functional streams aligned with SCMU’s operational needs and strategic priorities.

Internship streams include:

  • Data & Analytics

  • Logistics & Supply Chain

  • Procurement & Business

  • Humanitarian Supplies

  • Supply Chain & Customer Service

  • Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Communications

  • Human Resources

  • Information & Communications Technology (ICT)

  • Administration & Business

Interns must be logistically and financially prepared to work full-time on site in Copenhagen for the duration of the internship.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following educational conditions:

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree programme and have completed at least one academic year

  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional trainee programme

Note: Immediate family members of UNFPA staff are not eligible.
