The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) offers a fully funded opportunity for academically talented, economically disadvantaged young Africans to pursue undergraduate degrees in Nigeria. This prestigious program is committed to developing the next generation of leaders who will drive social and economic transformation across Africa.
Pan-Atlantic University is the first Nigerian university to partner with the Mastercard Foundation on this initiative, with a goal to educate and empower 650 young scholars over the next ten years.
Who Can Apply
The program is open to young Africans who meet the following criteria:

Demonstrate academic excellence

Show leadership potential

Are from financially disadvantaged backgrounds

Are young women interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) disciplines

Are internally displaced persons

Are young people living with disabilities

Show a strong commitment to community service
Minimum Academic Requirements

At least five (5) O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings from WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB
-
A minimum UTME score of 220
-
UTME subject combination must include English Language and any three subjects from Social Science, Arts, or Sciences

Application Process
Step 1: Confirm Academic Eligibility
Applicants must have a minimum of five O’Level credits including Mathematics and English Language in not more than two sittings.
Step 2: Indicate Interest (If Awaiting UTME Results)
Candidates without current UTME results should complete the Interest Form to begin the screening process.

Step 3: Sit for the UTME Exam
Applicants must register for and sit the UTME, securing a minimum score of 220.
Step 4: Complete the Online Application Form
Once UTME results are available, eligible candidates should submit the full online application form with personal details, academic records, and proof of eligibility.

Applications are assessed for alignment with program goals. Shortlisted candidates are invited to participate in an interview, either in person or online.
Step 6: Admission and Scholarship Award
Successful applicants are granted admission to Pan-Atlantic University and awarded a full Mastercard Foundation Scholarship.
