GrowthAfrica is recruiting passionate, purpose-driven professionals to join its expanding team and support the growth of entrepreneurship and innovation across Africa. The available roles span several key functions, including innovation management, entrepreneurship support, gender mainstreaming, safeguarding, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E). These opportunities are based within a multi-country entrepreneurship programme operating in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Ghana.

Unlike many recruitment drives, these positions do not have a fixed application deadline. Current Job Openings

GrowthAfrica is currently recruiting for the following positions.

1. Innovation Lead

The Innovation Lead will oversee the innovation journey for one of GrowthAfrica’s flagship entrepreneurship programmes.

The successful candidate will:

  • Design innovation methodologies.
  • Strengthen programme quality.
  • Coach country teams.
  • Support entrepreneurs in transforming ideas into viable businesses.
  • Coordinate innovation activities across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Ghana.

This role is ideal for professionals experienced in innovation management, entrepreneurship development, programme design, and leadership.

 

2. Innovation Catalyst

The Innovation Catalyst will work directly with entrepreneurs throughout the innovation process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating innovation workshops.
  • Coaching entrepreneurs during ideation.
  • Supporting prototype development.
  • Helping participants validate business ideas.
  • Building partnerships that strengthen local innovation ecosystems.

The role is available within entrepreneurship programmes operating across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, or Ghana.

Candidates with experience in startup incubation, entrepreneurship support, innovation facilitation, or business development are encouraged to apply.

 

3. Gender Mainstreaming & Safeguarding Associate

GrowthAfrica is also recruiting a Gender Mainstreaming & Safeguarding Associate to help strengthen inclusive entrepreneurship programming.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting gender equality.
  • Supporting safeguarding initiatives.
  • Creating safe and inclusive learning environments.
  • Strengthening participant protection.
  • Improving programme design through inclusive practices.
  • Supporting organizational safeguarding policies.

This position contributes to programme implementation across four African countries and is suited to professionals experienced in gender, social inclusion, safeguarding, or development programming.

 

4. M&E Data Coordinator

The M&E Data Coordinator will lead monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities for the entrepreneurship programme.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Building monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Managing programme data.
  • Generating evidence for programme improvement.
  • Producing data-driven insights.
  • Supporting organizational learning.
  • Demonstrating programme impact.
  • Informing decision-making across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Ghana.

Professionals with expertise in monitoring and evaluation, data management, programme performance, and impact measurement are encouraged to apply.
