Concordis International is currently accepting applications for its Programme Intern 2026, a unique remote internship opportunity designed for aspiring peacebuilders looking to gain practical experience in programme management, research, conflict analysis, and international development.

This six-month internship offers graduates and master’s students the opportunity to work alongside experienced peacebuilding professionals while supporting programmes in the Central African Republic, Cameroon, Chad, Abyei, Sudan, and South Sudan. Although the internship is voluntary, participants receive extensive training, mentorship, reimbursed work expenses, and valuable hands-on experience within a respected international peacebuilding charity.

One of the standout features of this opportunity is its remote work arrangement. Interns work from home with flexible hours and can participate from different time zones. Those visiting or based in London are also welcome to attend team meetings in person when possible.

Position: Programme Intern

Organisation: Concordis International

Duration: Six months

Commitment: Minimum three days per week

  • Operations Manager

Start Date:

End of September or beginning of October 2026

Remote Working Arrangement

This is a fully remote internship.

Interns will:

  • Work virtually from home.
  • Collaborate with programme teams across several countries.
  • Participate in virtual meetings.
  • Receive online mentoring and training.
  • Join colleagues working across multiple international locations.

Those living in or visiting London may also attend selected team meetings in person.

Internship Responsibilities

Programme interns contribute directly to the work of Concordis’ peacebuilding programmes.

Responsibilities may include:

Research and Analysis

  • Conduct country research.
  • Perform conflict analysis.
  • Analyse programme data.
  • Produce analytical reports.
  • Monitor media developments.

Programme Development

  • Assist in programme design.
  • Support implementation activities.
  • Contribute to monitoring and evaluation.
  • Help prepare project proposals.

Funding Research

Interns will help identify:

  • Funding opportunities.
  • Grant-making organisations.
  • International donors.

They may also contribute to drafting funding applications.

Administrative and Operational Support

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting programme teams.
  • Coordinating logistics.
  • Liaising with project partners.

  • Translating peacebuilding materials.
  • Taking meeting notes.

Data Management

Interns may assist with:
